Any topic could be picked up to work upon: A certain PR towards the Shopware core, an open issue, some dev extension that you have meaning to create for some time. And the recommended way to do this is by working together: Peer programming (perhaps by using JetBrains Code With Me), group brainstorm, buddying, you name it. The idea is to have fun with others and to learn something from it.
